Another Interview for Justice Thomas

As first reported here last night, ABC News correspondent Jan Crawford Greenburg yesterday interviewed Justice Clarence Thomas in connection with the Oct. 1 publication of his memoir, My Grandfather's Son. It apparently will air Oct. 1 on ABC, after CBS News' 60 Minutes broadcasts its interview with Thomas the night before. Why was the Greenburg interview revealed in Syracuse, New York? Jan was scheduled to be on a panel on Supreme Court coverage at Syracuse University, but when duty called and Thomas scheduled the interview for the same time, Jan had to cancel her Syracuse appearance.  Dahlia Lithwick of Slate stepped into the slot, and the panel proceeded with Ben Wittes of The Brookings Institution and The New Republic, and myself.
