Do as anyone even remember Ward Churchill? He was the guy that referred to some of the victims on 9/11 as being on the same moral scale as Adolf Eichmann, dubbing them “little Eichmanns”. Well, I wonder what historical figure he can compare himself to now that he has been fired for fraud and plagiarism?
His dismissal came after he was investigated for research in writings not to pertaining to his essay controversial 9/11 essay. The University of Colorado had found problems with his writings pertaining to research fraud and plagiarism. An 8-1 vote by regents sealed his fate.
Churchill’s attorney said that he would file a lawsuit on First Amendment grounds. The claim is that this firing is in reference to his political views and not academic misconduct. Discussion of wrongdoing immediately cast as political games? Could Churchill be a “little Cheney”?
