Scooter Libby’s stable of legal thoroughbreds failed him. Moments ago Judge Reggie Walton ruled that Libby does not get bail pending appeal. It’s jail time.

Last week we told you about efforts by friends and colleagues – including Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz and one-time Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork - to persuade Walton to give Libby freedom during his appeal.
