Another week, another set of accusations of illegal activity in the Bush Administration. This one’s an oldie but a goodie.
The Web site for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee says that the RNC e-mail accounts used by White House officials during the 2004 presidential campaign may have violated the Presidential Records Act. The committee says many of the e-mails used by high-ranking White House staffers, including Karl Rove’s, have been deleted: “The RNC has preserved only 130 e-mails sent to Mr. Rove during President Bush’s first term and no e-mails sent by Mr. Rove prior to November 2003.”
The committee notes there are 88 White House staffers who used these e-mail accounts. Time to lawyer up, people.

Ditto to all the above comments. And I look forward to the orange jumpsuit day coming. And I agree with David's comments. Bush scores another victory to a flatline legacy. Bush will walk out of office in 2009 as the worst, disgraceful, and incompentent President ever whose poll numbers were lower than Baskin Robbins 31 flavors.

This is a great moment for companies making search, e-discovery, evidence recovery, records management, and litigation support software.

Carl Rove may yet get handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit . One can only dream. Bush scores another victory for secret yet incompetent government that is and will be his legacy. Maybe the rapture will save him because that's his only excape route.
