The rates are rising, but don’t get excited. It’s not the Federal Reserve working its magic again. Instead, you might have to forgo two whole days worth of Starbucks coffee (gasp) to afford your D.C. Bar dues. For active members, the increase is $8, bringing the total up to $188. Judges will have to fork over $95, a rise of $5. And those lucky inactive members only miss out on one precious latte (the tall size though, and don’t even think about adding vanilla) with an increase of $3, making a grand total of $118. The new dues go into effect July 1.
